In our part of rural Brazil there is no shelter to call and no rescue network on the way. Stray and abandoned animals are on their own — until they aren't. We rescue, heal, and find loving homes. For those who can't be placed, this ranch is home for life.
We are the safety net.
Animal rescue in much of the US has imperfect but real infrastructure — municipal shelters, foster networks, animal control. In the rural Brazilian interior where Rancho Gaspar sits, almost none of that exists.

- No one to bring strays inA nearby vet handles affordable spay and neuter, but no one is paid to catch and transport unowned animals. That last step falls to us.
